Introduction

Shree Mahesh Public School is an English Medium Co-Educational Senior Secondary School, Affiliated to CBSE, is a distinctive part of Shree Mahesh Sewa Samiti, Bhilwara.
The School came into existence in 1996 to provide an opportunity through quality education. It has steadily gained its present premier status and acquired a remarkable position on the academic map of Bhilwara. Now Shree Mahesh Public School is among the top 5 Private schools in Bhilwara.
The School started its journey with Pre-primary and goes till class twelfth with Science, Commerce, Arts and Agriculture stream in +2. It has the privilege of having dedicated management, profoundly learned and highly experienced principal and well qualified teachers. The members of the Samiti comprise distinguished people drawn from Industry, business, education and other professions.
Spread over 2 acres of land, this school ushered in an era of quality education. The school stands on city-life- lines but it is free from all noise and bustles of the city and has a serene atmosphere conducive to the pursuit of academic excellence.

RESOURCEFUL EDUCATION

Teaching through Experiments and Exploration:

Practical Classes are an integral part of teaching. We have well planned, fully equipped and spacious separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and Agriculture having all ultra modern facilities that help students to improve their theoretical and practical knowledge. The students both individually or in groups get ample opportunity to learn, perform experiments and work on projects as per CBSE guidelines. A lot of emphasis is laid on practical work. Separate periods are allocated in the timetable for this.

English & Mathematics Lab:

Focus on English Speaking is an important feature of the school and a Language Lab has been established which actively inculcates spoken English amongst the students. The complexities of Mathematics concepts are eased through widely resourceful lab set up at our school based on the creative ideas and methods.

Computer Lab:

The computer laboratory comprises of 50+ computers and is fully accessible to the students. It has advance infrastructure in terms of hardware and software which caters to the requirement of both the students and teachers alike. We have Wi-Fi facility made available to students for their project work. We have a separate computer lab for primary students too where they get acquainted with cyber world. We cannot think of life without computers these days and therefore computer education is an integral part of our school curriculum. The computer classes and practical begins right from class I. For classes IX and X students, a special course is rendered to help them in their career choice.

Smart Class:

Teaching and learning have acquired a new dimension with the installation of smart class. At SMPS, smart class room technology is a world class. Here teachers are empowered to teach and explain the subject matter in a much better way and students eagerly look forward to these classes. Advanced and Remedial Classes: Advanced and Remedial classes are arranged regularly for the students as and when required.

Exhibition:

Exhibition is organized every year, providing platform to the students to exhibit their creativity, skill and knowledge.

ASL LAB:

Assessment of speaking and learning a new concept of CBSE has already been introduced in the school. Using different electronic gadgets, the students themselves find out their faults and enjoy their speaking skill.

Seminars and workshops:

"Learning is life long experience" so to update knowledge various seminars and workshops are organized for students and teachers. Training and orientation imparted to teachers can equip them with the development and fresh invented methods which would ultimately be instilled among students to their intellectual growth. Renowned Academicians with vast experience conduct these orientation programs and train the teachers. Retention of teachers play vital role in order to sustain the progress of the institution. Provision is therefore made to accord wide recognition to the loyalty, sincerity and dutifulness of teachers. A recreating needs are provided in order to generate new spirit in teachers and develop in them a sense of attachment.

Excursion Trips and Picnics:

"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page" - Saint Augustine To make our students to understand theory better, we take them to science exhibitions, field trips, picnics, nature trips, Planetarium, museum, historical places, botanical garden, amusement park, hill station and other interesting spots. Thus help them to understand their curriculum in a better way.

Educational Seminar and Student Safety Programs:

Educational and child safety programs are conducted regularly in school. Child abused monitoring committee is running functionally in school.

Personality Development:

Time to time special programs and workshops are conducted by specialists from various backgrounds for students and teachers. Students from class IX and X are given career counseling and guidance by the principal as well as resource persons in the field.

Sports and Games:

A healthy mind resides in healthy body. The school is having excellent indoor and outdoor facilities for sports. Coaching is provided by enthusiastic and well qualified staff for different sports. Indoor facilities include chess, carom, table tennis etc. Outdoor facilities include volleyball, kho-kho, cricket, badminton etc. Every year annual sports are being organized in the school during winters. School is actively participating in various inter-school events organized by CBSE as well as sports organized at district and state level.

Co-Curriculum Activities:

We also believe in exploring hidden talents in the children. Apart from general routine, there is always something happening at SMPS. Inter-class, inter-house and inter-school competitions are held regularly in our school like Olympiads, Elocution, Quiz, Debate, Essay, Story and Poetry writing, Handwriting. Spelling, Painting, Drawing, Drama, Dance, Singing, Cycling, Games, Sports, Athletic meet and many more programs for the spread of literacy and social service. House system-In order to develop healthy competitions, team-spirit and cooperation, the school is divided into four houses named Raman, Gandhi, Tagore and Pratap. Activities are conducted to refresh students, build confidence, explore possibilities, develop talents, ignite interest, chisel fitness, polish concepts enhance team work and to prepare students for competitions.

School Transport:

The school has its own Bus service. We have numbers of buses plying on various routes for carrying the students. The numbers of students coming in bus are with strict compliance of the Supreme Court orders. Students availing the school transport facility are properly cared for.

Library:

The school library fastens the development of lifelong learning abilities and love of reading in its students. It also provides teachers with instructional materials and professional resources. The school maintains a full-fledged library along with a reading room. There are adequate no. of books/journals in all subjects offered in senior secondary level. Apart from that the library houses various magazines related to current affairs, sports etc and leading newspapers.

Health & Medical Care:

The school pays special attention to the students' well- being. All the students are put through an annual examination by specialists.

Parents-Teacher Contact:

Both parents and teachers are important in the life of a child. Together they lay the foundation stone of child's future. SMPS encourages a healthy communication between parents and teachers in the interest of the child. Constant monitoring by a competent teaching faculty, regular interaction between the school and parents ensure that child prospers and flourishes. Parent Teachers meetings are held at regular intervals to apprise the parents of the progress made by their wards. SMPS family is open to share concerns and grievances of parents both for academic and non-academic enhancement.
